Volunteer Requirements
The Strand-Capitol volunteer program welcomes all individuals who meet the following requirements, without regard to race, color, religion, sex, age, disability, sexual orientation, or national origin.
 
Applicants to the Strand-Capitol volunteer program:
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be willing to attend and complete all aspects of the orientation/training cycle
• Must be able to perform the required duties which includes the ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to perform all duties expected of a volunteer.

What types of volunteer positions exist?
Being a member of the Strand-Capitol volunteer corps promises something for everyone! Examples of volunteer opportunities may include, but not be limited to:
Administrative volunteers will assist the Strand-Capitol offices during regular work hours. Duties vary and may include clerical assistance, computer entry, stuffing packets, and making phone calls. Each individual department will provide whatever training may be necessary.

Theater volunteers assist patrons in a variety of settings before, during and after a performance. Assignments are made by the Front of House Staff for activities such as taking tickets, coat check, concessions and assisting patrons in locating their seats.
