| Volunteers are at the core of the Strand-Capitol Performing Arts Center’s operation and a vital component to the overall success of this facility. Each and every Strand-Capitol volunteer offers their own individual contribution to the center whether they are assisting patrons to their seats, serving refreshments, folding letters, making copies or offering a “Welcome” and a smile. But at the heart of every Strand-Capitol volunteer is one common trait: a passion for the arts in the community. |
An engraved paver is a wonderful way to be recognized
for your support of York’s beloved theaters. Purchasing an engraved
brick can also be a meaningful gift that: Longtime volunteers Joy and Dennis Baublitz sponsored their brick reasoning, “the
Strand-Capitol has always played an important part in our lives and we
wanted to support the Center with a donation that also makes a lasting
impression. Years from now our brick will still be here for all to see
how special this place is to us.” Bricks can be ordered with a tax-deductible donation of
$500 (4”x8” size ) or $1,000 (8”x8” size). Our payment plan allows for
affordable periodic automatic charges to your credit card. Meanwhile,
your brick is ordered and installed (weather permitting!) upon receipt
of your down payment. Download the Honor a Star

please call the Development Office at 717-846-1155. Gifts may be paid in
full or with an annual payment over a maximum of five years. Payment

Honor or memorialize an important star in your life and support the
performing arts in the York community at the same time. An engraved
brick paver with your personal message provides permanent recognition in
the main entryway of the Strand.
The outdoor entranceway to the Strand boasts the names
and personalized messages of many Strand-Capitol supporters. The
engraved brick campaign began during the major renovations to the Center
in 2000. It is still a unique way to help support York’s premier home
for the performing arts – while space lasts!
