Become a volunteer!
Volunteers are at the core of the Strand-Capitol Performing Arts Center’s operation and a vital component to the overall success of this facility. Each and every Strand-Capitol volunteer offers their own individual contribution to the center whether they are assisting patrons to their seats, serving refreshments, folding letters, making copies or offering a “Welcome” and a smile. But at the heart of every Strand-Capitol volunteer is one common trait: a passion for the arts in the community.

Your support as a member of the Strand-Capitol Performing Arts Center is vital to our success. The Board of Directors, President & CEO Ken Wesler, and our staff are committed to making the Strand-Capitol Performing Arts Center a dynamic, cultural hub for the city of York and our surrounding communities. But we need your help!

Over 30% of our annual income is provided by contributed funds from both the public and private sector. Bridging the gap between what the Strand-Capitol Performing Arts Center can realize from ticket sales… and what the actual costs are to bring artists and shows to our audience… is the formidable challenge that we face as a non-profit.

Members are individuals who help us meet that challenge. Our membership program is benefit-driven and based on a rolling-year model, so that anyone may come on board at any time during the calendar year, without penalty. And you can enjoy special ticket discounts and exclusive early ticket -sales access to all our shows as our sincere thank-you!
