Educationis a large part of what the Strand-Capitol Performing Arts Center brings to the community. The Strand-Capitol’s Schooltime Seriesshowcases performances by national touringcompanies during the school day and may also includemasterclasses and workshops. With this increasingly popular series, the Strand-Capitol strives to entertain, educate and exposetoday’s youth to the magical world of performing arts. Study after study continues to underscore the importance of the performing arts as part of childhood development. The Schooltime Series was created to give children the opportunity to experience the magic and wonder of live theater and performing arts.
Additionally, the Strand-Capitol offers various educational opportunities throughout the season, from master classes toworkshops, to opportunities to observe dress rehearsals. Please check back for educational opportunities.
