Have a show you’d like to put on at our center? The Strand-Capitol Performing Arts Center regularly rents both theaters: the 1262-seat Strand and the 450-seat Capitol. Both are available to local organizations and national promoters for live events and film. Please take a look at the Rental Process Information and the documents below for rental specifics. For technical specifications, click here. To discuss scheduling for either theater, call Carol Oppelaar, General Manager at 717-825-2231. We also have several beautiful rooms available for meetings, parties, or other gatherings. To schedule a room, call Cindy Steele, Director of Operations at 717-825-2240. The
Strand-Capitol has created a special fund, The
Community Support Fund, for local non-profit organizations which might
otherwise not be able to afford renting The Strand or The Capitol Theatre. To find out if your organization is eligible
for this assistance, please complete the simple, one-page form below and return
it to Carol Oppelaar, General Manager, Strand-Capitol Performing Arts Center,
50 North George Street, York, PA 17401. The CSF committee will consider your application, and Carol
